Bayer Leverkusen have also sent a proposal to PSG for Ibrahima Mbaye as talks took place over last few days

The agreement between clubs is close but Mbayer likes Liverpool project as priority.

The race for Paris Saint Germain's highly rated young winger Ibrahima Mbaye is heating up as the summer transfer window approaches its final stretch.

Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have stepped up their pursuit by submitting an official proposal to PSG following intensive discussions over the past few days.

Reports indicate that negotiations between Leverkusen and the French club have progressed smoothly, moving both sides reasonably close to reaching an agreement on a potential fee.

Despite Leverkusen's strong push and advanced talks, the player's personal stance remains a defining factor in the unfolding saga. Sources close to the 18 year old Senegal international indicate that he views the ambitious project at Liverpool as his primary preference.

Liverpool have been actively monitoring the teenager's situation as they look to inject fresh, long term talent into their forward line, and Mbaye's camp is heavily leaning toward an Anfield switch.

Paris Saint-Germain command a strong position regarding any potential sale, holding out for a significant valuation close to €50 million given the immense promise the youngster showed on both domestic and international stages.

While Leverkusen's proposal proves their concrete interest and ability to structure a swift deal with PSG, the final destination may ultimately depend on whether Liverpool choose to match those financial parameters with an official bid of their own.

As interest continues to mount from multiple top European suitors, a decision on Mbaye's immediate future is expected to crystallize very soon. For now, Leverkusen maintains an open line of communication with the Parisian club, but the player's clear alignment with Liverpool's sporting vision keeps the Premier League side firmly in the driving seat if they decide to accelerate their pursuit.
